Delicious menus are built around seasonal products, and the offerings on the tables vary according to the seasons. In the joint themed weekends, each Saimaa Gastronomy location offers unique programs and delicious spreads. The Saimaa Gastronomy network’s themed weekends won the Best Food Tourism Product in Finland award in 2019.

Anastasia Injushina began her musical studies at the Special Music School of the St. Petersburg Conservatory in the 1980s. After moving to Finland in 1991, she continued her studies at the Sibelius Academy under the guidance of Vitali Berzon and later Vjatseslav Novikov. Her career as a soloist and chamber musician truly took off after winning the prestigious first prize at the ARD International Music Competition, leading to performances in concert halls across Europe.

From 2009 to 2013, she co-directed the Helsinki Springlight Chamber Music Festival with pianist Ralf Gothoni. Among her notable recordings is the Mozart and Bach & Sons album for Ondine, which received high praise from international critics. BBC Classic featured the album extensively in its programming for several years. She has also regularly recorded for YLE (Finnish Broadcasting Company), covering repertoire including Schumann, Sibelius, and Bach, among others.

Anastasia has enjoyed a fruitful collaboration with the Hamburger Camerata orchestra, touring extensively in the Baltic countries, Denmark, Germany, and Russia, performing at prestigious venues such as the Elb-Philharmonie in Hamburg, the St. Petersburg Philharmonia, and the Helsinki Music Centre. As a chamber musician, Injushina has performed regularly in various ensembles in the Netherlands, Germany, Dubai, Belgium, and Finland.

Program:

Day 1. Our journey starts from Helsinki, from the Kiasma charter bus stop at 9:00 a.m., heading towards Mikkeli. Our first destination is the War and Peace Center Memory. Before exploring the exhibition at Memory, we will enjoy a delicious lunch in the spirit of Mannerheim. From Mikkeli, we continue our journey to Puumala’s Sahanlahti, where we will hear the story of Sahanlahti Resort over afternoon coffee. After coffee, we will proceed to the selected accommodation for dinner.

Day 2. After breakfast, we will visit PihlasResort, where we will enjoy a delicious lunch at the Siimes restaurant. For dessert, we will move to a tea room called Teahouse of Wehmais located in the courtyard of Wehmaa Manor in Juva. Before returning to Helsinki, we will visit Tertti Manor, where we will enjoy Savonian snacks at the charming garden café. Our visit also includes a tour of the house and a shopping moment. We will return to Helsinki by 9:00 p.m. at the latest.

Price: 485 € / person in a shared double villa. Single room supplement + 100 €

Price includes: Round-trip transportation on a Savonlinja charter bus, accommodation either at Sahanlahti Resort (Elsanranta) or PihlasResort (Forest Suite), visits and meals according to the itinerary, and services of a tour guide.
